Graphic & UI/UX Designer
Hello! My name is Devika Nair. A Graphic & UI/UX Designer. Born in Kerala which is "God's Own Country", and lives in Pune, India. Currently, I'm pursuing my Master's degree in Web Design and Content Planning at the University of Greenwich, where I'm diving deeper into the intricacies of web design. I'm passionate about working on illustrations, branding and advertising, and packaging design. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, creating small art pieces, freelancing, exploring recipe videos on Instagram, and trying my hand at cooking those recipes. I can speak several languages, such as Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, and Kannada. I have a dog and I love him a lot & his name is Mallu. Also I'm very close to sister. One of the interesting thing is that we do share each other stuffs & have a same friend's circle.
How it all started
Where my creative journey
began
I inherited my love for art from my father and began formal drawing classes at age 8, where I learned basics and advanced techniques like still life, fabric, glass, charcoal, watercolor, and canvas painting. During school, I participated in Elementary and Intermediate Drawing Exams, but later shifted to commerce, graduating with a strong score. Torn between art and design, an aptitude test pointed me toward a design career, leading me to pursue in the field of design and successfully graduated in Bachelor's in Graphic Design from "MIT Institute of Design", where I also explored about UI/UX design from one of my academic module.

I have a diverse background in graphic design and UI/UX, beginning with a one-month internship at Brands Jar as a Graphic Designer. Additionally, I completed freelance projects for companies like Ayursankalpa, where I managed social media design, R Mutha Rice House - Mannat, creating packaging and logos for rice products, and Medkos DHS Int. Pvt. Ltd., a startup, for which I developed brand identity materials. I then spent three years at Titan Company Limited as a Senior Executive UI/UX Designer, where I discovered a deeper passion for UI/UX and web development. Currently, now I'm pursuing a postgraduate program to further develop my skills in web design, development, UI/UX design.

I chose this program to expand my skills and explore new opportunities in User Experience and Interaction Design, with the goal of achieving broader career objectives. I aim to work with leading companies, gaining valuable experience across diverse, high-impact projects, and learning from industry experts. This exposure will help me eventually establish myself as the Principal Designer of my own firm, where I can bring a unique vision to life, lead a talented team, and contribute to advancing the field of user-centered design.
